NOTICE
[Under Section 23 (a)]

No. MMC / REN / 2006 / 422: - Notice is hereby given to all Registered Medical Practitioners / Graduates, whose names are borne in the Medical register as on 31-12-2004 maintained under the Maharashtra Medical Council Act, 1965 (other that those, who are registered provisionally) that they have to submit an application in the accompanying prescribed form to the undersigned, for the continuance of their names on the register (i.e. renewal of registration ) as provided in Section 23 (a) of the Maharashtra Medical Council Act,1965 and Amendment Act, 2003.

The application form should be accompanied with xerox attested copy of registration certificate and a renewal fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) by Demand Draft / Pay Order in the name of Registrar Maharashtra Medical Council, payable in Mumbai preferably drawn on the State Bank of India, Jacob Circle Branch (Code No. 1835).or on any Nationalized / Scheduled bank. No separate individual notice will be sent to the Medical Practitioners for renewal of registration. Application Form duly filled-in should reach the undersigned within the period of four month at the latest, from the specified date i.e. from the 2nd November 2006 on the following address. Applications forms are available in office of Council and all offices of the Medical Colleges in the state and also on Council’s website www.mmcmumbai.com

The names of the Medical Practitioners, who failed to apply for renewal within a specified period of four months as mentioned above, shall stand removed from the register and they may require to face the consequences thereof, However the names of such Medical Practitioners can be re-entered (Renewed) in the register on application in the prescribed form, together with late fee of Rs. One hundred per month or part thereof, for the late period, in addition to the renewal fee of rupees five hundred as provided in clause (b) of section 23 of the Maharashtra Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2003.

Every Registered Medical Practitioner, whose name is borne in the register maintained by the Maharashtra Medical Council, should send to the undersigned two copies of their latest photographs of the size of 3.00 X 3.5 c.m. with note on the reverse side about name & registration number of the Medical Practitioner to enable the Council to issue identity cards to the Medical Practitioners.
